TEN 3.0 is a 2-day Summit for teenage students in three secondary schools in suburban towns in Abuja. It is designed to expose them to training on leadership, entrepreneurship, and technology, The Summit brings established professionals and resource persons to impart critical and useful knowledge and skills to the attendees, thus giving them an early preparation for life and productivity.
The 2-day program is fully engaging and interactive, and the content is usally prepared in a way that's easily relatable to the teens. The Q & A session is quite intense and captivating, and the teens get the opportunity to ask whatever they have on their minds.
The teens are also engaged in a competition, usually in the form of an essay, or a business plan. The winner is awarded a prize, usually a laptop. This is to encourage them to remain focused on continuous learning and improvement, and to give the winner a tool to reach for more.
On some occasions, based mostly on discretion, when some teens show exceptional attitude and skill, some of them are awarded grants to start a very small scale business, with mentorship and oversight from the PURPLE Team. Some of the past beneficiaries of the Grant still have their businesses running.
We believe that we will be able to make lasting impact in the lives of the teens who participate in this Summit, and we are committed to working with them to make that happen.
